I was recently offered a position at a local hospital as a medical records clerk, I went in and took my drug test and passed, and had a TB test done, which I’ve already had checked and cleared, I’ve even filled out my direct deposit info and W4 and everything.

HR says they are just waiting on my background check to come back? I would have thought this would have been one of the first things they did?

How long do these checks usually take to come back?

I failed a background check because I falsify my resume about my education. So my offer was pulled back. This is a life learning experience for me. I’ve leaned not to lie again. Anyway, i’d like to know if failing this background check because I lie, will it be on my public record? Will other company find out that I lied? or will this be confidential and only to the company that I failed? Thanks

I moved back in April to a few towns over. I lived in the same town I’m in now for 8 years before moving to the other one. I lived there for 11 years and then moved back. Does it take a year to register or something?
